All relics that we sell that are attributed to a certain battle or battlefield are obtained on private property with the consent of the owner, or they come from old time 19th century or early 20th century collections. We've also acquired some relics from defunct museums and G.A.R. Post collections. We do not buy or sell any artifacts that were obtained from Federal or State property.

A fragment of the 2nd National Confederate flag that flew over Fort Sumter, Charleston Harbor, South Carolina until it was evacuated by the Rebels on February 17th, 1865, once owned by General Thomas Abram Huguenin. He was present at the capture of Fort Sumter on April 12th & 13th, 1861 and commanded the rear guard at the evacuation of Morris Island. This piece of coverlet was owned by Colonel Elijah W. Penny who had service in three Indiana Union regiments and was wounded six times. The period note that came with this relic identifies the coverlet as being taken out of Stonewall Jackson's house after the "U.S. Civil War in 1865." A Xerox copy of the original note is included with the COA. Colonel Perry was discharged in Charlotte, N.C. in late 1865 and obviously obtained this souvenir during his return home west either personally or from an officer friend.
