The Circular from these Head Quarters of Dec. 28th, 1863, is hereby revoked.
Hereafter Battery Commanders will detail a fatigue party to consist of one (1) man from their respective Batteries, furnished with an axe, to report to these Head Quarters daily, at 8 o'clock A.M.
The Commanders of each Battery will be held strictly responsible that this detail reports regularly each morning.

Henry P. Goddard, enlisted on June 11, 1862, as a sergeant major, and was mustered into the 14th Connecticut Infantry. He was promoted to 2nd lieutenant, on August 20, 1862; he was wounded in the battle of Fredericksburg, Va., on December 13, 1862; he was promoted to 1st lieutenant, on February 4, 1863; he was wounded in the battle of Chancellorsville, Va., on May 3, 1863; he was promoted to captain, on March 28, 1864, and resigned on April 26, 1864. At the time he signed this document he was on duty as an A.A.A.G. of the 2nd Army Corps.
