(1838-1919) Born in Tompkinsville, New York, he was a banker and broker before the war. He was commissioned major of the 132nd New York Infantry on October 4, 1862. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel on December 12, 1862, and brevet brigadier general on June 28, 1865. After the war he worked as an insurance agent.
