Includes Listing for his Negro Servant

17 x 11, imprinted form, filled out in ink. Pay Voucher for E.S. Jones, Capt. and C.S., U.S. Vols., for the period June 1, 1863, to June 30, 1863. Also accounts for his black servant named Andrew Jackson. Signed at lower right, E.S. Jones, Capt. & C.S. Light age toning and wear. Very fine.

Edwin S. Jones, was born in Connecticut, and served in the U.S. Army, 1863-66, and held the rank of brevet major at the time of his discharge.
