Captains' of the regiment receive pants for their men in 1861

We the undersigned captains of companies composing the 3rd Regiment Penna. Vols. acknowledge the receipt of the number of pairs of pantaloons set opposite our names for the use of our respective companies, from J.M. Campbell, Quartermaster 3rd Regiment, June 30th, 1861. The receipt has been signed by 8 captains of the 3rd Pennsylvania Infantry with their respective companies and number of pants received. Light age toning. The 3rd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers was a 90 day, early war regiment, so material on them is very scarce.
