Head Quarters Department of the Cumberland,
Murfreesboro, Tenn., April 11, 1863

General Orders, No. 77

In order to provide accommodations for officers sick in this Department, it is ordered:

That the Medical Director establish a hospital at Nashville, and, when necessary, one of a temporary character near the main portion of this Army. He will detail a medical officer in charge of each, who will make requisitions on the Medical Purveyor for the medicines and furniture provided by the Regulations for the soldier, and will hire the nurses, cooks and laundresses that may be necessary. A Steward will be assigned to each hospital, who will be mustered and paid on the regular muster and pay rolls.

Much more excellent content. By Command Of Major General Rosecrans. Signed in print by C. Goddard, Assistant Adjutant General. Very fine.
