(1617-85) Commonly known as Alicia or Alice Lisle and Dame Alice Lyle, she was a landed lady [a largely historical privileged British social class] of the English county of Hampshire, who was executed for harboring fugitives after the defeat of the Monmouth Rebellion at the Battle of Sedgemoor.
