1862, $4.50 STATE OF MISSOURI DEFENCE BOND

Vignette of Ceres seated between Commerce & Navigation (this is the same vignette that is on the 1861 Confederate $20 Note, T17), bear and shield at lower right. There is a very tiny tear at lower left corner which has been repaired with document tape, and there are a couple of wrinkles. Otherwise, the note itself is in uncirculated condition but with these condition flaws I have downgraded it to very fine condition. This note in choice uncirculated condition sells for $395.00. Rare.
