Lithograph, measures about 15 x 11 1/2 which includes white borders on all four sides. Imprint below the print reads, Death of Gen. James B. McPherson, July 22, 1864. Army of the Tennessee engaged. Battle of Atlanta. Copyrighted 1888 by Kurz & Allison Art Publishers, 76 & 78 Wabash Ave., Chicago. This is a reprint of the 1888 lithograph done by Kurz & Allison. Excellent battle scene of the Union and Confederate forces in action. General McPherson can been seen at right, just below the American flag, reeling in his saddle. Suitable for framing.

(1807-1870) Robert E. Lee graduated #2 in the West Point class of 1829. He emerged from the Mexican War with one wound, three brevets for gallantry and a brilliant reputation. During the Civil War, he commanded the Army of Northern Virginia at such battlefields as 2nd Manassas, Sharpsburg, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Petersburg, Richmond and Appomattox.
